Mustapha Hamid lauds Nana Addo's appointment as Chair of Observer mission to South Africa

Nana-Akufo-Addo-2Spokesperson for Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo says the appointment of Nana Addo to chair the Commonwealth Observer Mission for the South African elections is a big feather in the cap of the aspiring Ghanaian President.

The NPP 2012 flagbearer has been appointed by the Secretary General of the Commonwealth, Kamalesh Sharma to Chair the Commonwealth Observer Mission for the South African elections which will take place on May 7, 2014.

Other members of the Observer Mission are: Dorothy Pine-McLarty OJ, Chairperson of the Electoral Commission of Jamaica and Sheik Abdul Carimo Nordine Sau, who is the President of the National Elections Commission of Mozambique, constitute the membership of the team.

Nana Addo’s spokesperson, Mustapha Hamid tells rawgist.com, the appointment is a great vote of confidence in the Ghanaian politician.
He was quick to point out however that “this is not Nana Addo’s first international political assignment” and adds that “he’s had a lot of pluses on the international front.”

He believes it will to some extent also influence his local political ambition positively.

Nana Akufo-Addo will leave Ghana on the 1st of May for South Africa’s national and provincial elections, which will last for two weeks.
