Ghana News-The wife of the General Overseer of Calvary Charismatic Center (CCC), Mrs Joyce Obeng says her desire in life now is to be able to build mini-clinics across the communities of the country.
These clinics, she noted would be able to treat common as well as complicated cases of pregnant women in the hinterlands.
In her first public interview with the Ghanaian Observer Newspaper ahead of the upcoming Pastor’s Wives and Lady Pastors Conference on the 31st May to the 3rd of June, the praying woman expressed worry at the rate women were dying as they try to give birth at the hospitals.
These deaths, she opined could be reduced by the conscious provision of mini-clinics in the country, especially in remote areas where people struggle to access health care.
‘’My son my heart bleeds anytime I hear a woman has died just by the art of giving birth at the hospital as my mind readily goes back to what might have happened before the woman got to the hospital’’, Mrs Obeng noted.
VISION:
Mrs Obeng said her vision is to be able to provide good drinking water for people in the remotest parts of the three northern regions as well as the Brong-Ahafo Region.
Currently, she stated through her Foundation, the Mewura Boafo Foundation residents in the Wapuri as well as other areas in the Upper East and West regions have potable water to drink.
Several mechanized borehole, she mentioned have been earmarked to be constructed this year to provide water for people living in areas that are hard to reach.
Mrs Obeng mentioned plans to also carry out the mini-clinic project alongside the borehole construction and welcomed support from the public especially members of CCC to carry out the vision she has for the poor.
‘’By God’s grace my foundation and I are determined to launch out in faith as we continue the construction of borehole water for people in typical rural communities as we also trust God to enable us carry out the mini-clinic project as well to help particularly pregnant women and the sick’’, Mrs Obeng revealed.
UPCOMING CONFERENCE:
Speaking on the upcoming conference, Mrs Obeng said this will be the 17th one to be held by her outfit where Pastor’s wives and Lady Pastors across the country as well as other nationals from West-African converge to energize themselves for the task ahead of them.
The theme for this year’s conference, she mentioned is, ‘To the unknown God, the one you worship without knowing, Him I proclaim to you’ (Acts 17:23).
Mrs Obeng recalled the vision she had to gather Pastor’s wives and lady Pastors across the country to pray and share fellowship so as to get revived for the work of the Lord.
These meetings, she noted has helped to shape women in ministry as well as sharpen the spiritual lenses of Pastor’s wives as they partner their husbands in the soul winning project of Christ Jesus.
‘’I can give countless testimonies of how the Lord through this vision and meetings has helped us sharpen one another and we believe this year will be another avenue where the Holy Spirit will empower us to work effectively with our partners in ministry’’, Mrs Obeng posited.
