The NDC in the Ashanti region has described NPP flag bearer Hon. Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, as confused as far as his electoral expectations are concerned in the region.
“His confusion clearly stems from the NDC’s resolve to attain one million votes in Ashanti Region for the 2016 elections. Anytime he gets the opportunity to speak about the NDC’s operation one million votes agenda, he becomes confused about his expectation of the votes for his party in the Region.”
This was contained in a press statement issued by the Youth wing of the party and signed by Youth Organizer; Brogya Genfi.
He explains that on Wednesday April 8th 2015, whiles addressing some NPP members from Subin constituency at his Nima residence, the NPP flagbearer targeted not less than 85% of votes in the Ashanti region.
However, “in displaying his confused state of mind earlier today, Hon. Akufo-Addo in an address to NPP party executives and parliamentary candidates in Ashanti Region tasked them to work to achieve 80 percent in Ashanti Region for the 2016 elections”.
The NDC believes the seeming inconsistency is due to the fact that “the NPP is dazed by the massive development in Ashanti region by President John Mahama which is a huge contributing factor for the operation one million votes agena.”

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
HON. AKUFO-ADDO IS A CONFUSED PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE; HE DOESN’T KNOW WHAT HE WANTS
Hon. Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the flagbearer of the opposition NPP appears extremely mystified about his electoral expectations in Ashanti Region for the 2016 elections.
His confusion clearly stems from the NDC’s resolve to attain one million votes in Ashanti Region for the 2016 elections. Anytime he gets the opportunity to speak about the NDC’s operation one million votes agenda, he becomes confused about his expectation of the votes for his party in the Region.
Not too long ago – on Wednesday April 8th 2015, addressing some NPP members from the Subin Constituency who were led by their Member of Parliament, Hon. Isaac Osei at the Nima residence of Hon. Akufo-Addo, he was very emphatic that the operation one million votes targeted by NDC in Ashanti Region remains a mirage and that the NPP has a target to win not less than 85 percent of votes in Ashanti Region.
Hon. Akufo Addo said: “…we have targeted to win not less than 85 percent of popular votes in 2016 in the region which is our stronghold”.
In displaying his confused state of mind earlier today, Hon. Akufo-Addo in an address to NPP party executives and parliamentary candidates in Ashanti Region tasked them to work to achieve 80 percent in Ashanti Region for the 2016 elections.
Today is Thursday October 8th 2015 – exactly six (6) months after the 85 percent target statement, Hon Akufo-Addo has said: “Let us understand that 80 percent of the popular vote in Ashanti and I am the next President of Ghana…we need every single vote in Ashanti to be able to get the 80 percent target we have set,”
It is clear that Hon. Akufo-Addo and the NPP have been dazed by the massive development in Ashanti Region by President John Mahama which is a huge contributing factor for the operation one million votes agenda.
The NDC Youth in Ashanti remains resolute about our operation one million votes agenda which the NPP cannot comprehend; exposing their confusion.
Signed
