National Health Insurance Service Providers in the Kumasi Metropolis are optimistic the 12.5 per cent tariff increase for their services would improve operations.
The service providers say they are pleased about the agreement reached between them and the National Health Insurance Authority, hoping government would fulfill its part of the bargain.
Earlier this month, stake holders on health insurance met with government to resolve concerns of providers.
It followed weeks of withdrawal of services by hospitals to NHIS card holders in protest of delayed payments of claims and low tariffs.
Providers say they expect money owed them since the beginning of this year to be paid in the coming days.
Director of Operations and Communications for the Providers Association, Anthony Ameka, tells Luv News the interim tariff increase is welcome pending full review next year.
