Madam Patricia Appiagyei; MP for Asokwa

Madam Patricia Appiagyei, Member of Parliament for Asokwa and Deputy Minister for Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation has slammed the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) for building bad roads from 2012 to 2016.
According to the Asokwa legislator, all roads that were built during the Mahama government have deteriorated at a legendary rate.
Potholes and gullies, the MP for Asokwa noted has become a constant feature on these roads across the country.
Madam Appiagyei however told the Ghanaian Observer Newspaper that the President was committed to rehabilitating such bad roads and starting news ones to open up the country.
” Despite the display of incompetence by the NDC in road construction I am happy to note that Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo- Addo is committed to redoing all bad roads and constructing crucial ones to open up the economic space of the country”, Madam Appiagyei posited.

Madam Appiagyei, popularly referred to as Sompahemaa or Mama Pat said the government was pumping all monies agreed under the Sinohydro agreement into constructing better roads for the people.
She noted that this was clearly spelt out by the Finance Minister as he read the budget last week Wednesday.
Madam Appiagyei said all roads earmarked for construction are strategic and important ones in the country.
She also stressed that these new roads billed for construction had the potential of opening up the Ghanaian market space.
“It is important to note that unlike the NDC the NPP government is projecting to spend all funds under the Sinohydro agreement to construct quality roads that will last long for the people”, Mama Pat intimated.
REVELATIONS:
Madam Appiagyei disclosed that the NDC spent a whopping 3billion from 2012 to 2016 on roads.
However she said all these roads are deteriorated beyond repairs.
She expressed surprise that despite the display of incompetence in road construction the NDC are the ones shouting loudest about bad roads.
“We will fix all bad roads but it is simply unthinkable that the NDC who did a shoddy job on roads in the country are the ones shouting loudest about bad roads”, Madam Appiagyei slammed.
