Ghana Politics News-A group within the NDC in the Kwabre East Constituency has dismissed a statement endorsing the NDC’s Betty Mould-Iddrisu as their candidate for the party’s Chairmanship position.
The Concerned Kwabre East Constituency Executives (Anti-Corruption Crusaders) say the statement which is being fed on by the media is also being circulated all over social media and is signed by Mr. Nathaniel Atta Kwakye; Kwabre-East Constituency Secretary.
A statement signed by the group’s convenor; Mr. Samed Kooli on behalf of the Executives however suggests that not only are the executives distancing themselves from the statement but also that they diametrically oppose the candidature of Mrs. Betty Mould-Iddrisu.
The Executives harshly condemn Madam Betty Mould-Iddrisu and describe her as having “a baggage of corruption around her neck”. They say the forthcoming election is too important to go into with a chairman with such baggage.
They also accuse the experienced politician of tribalism in her politicking and questioned her ability to unite the party which has a diverse following.
Their third point against the Chairman hopeful is that she is “anti-Mahama”; a trait that they have no tolerance for.
They say the NDC can kiss election 2020 goodbye should Madam Betty Mould-Iddrisu become the party’s chairman.
They insist the said publication is not representative of the views of the entire Executive body, is dubious and should be disregarded.
