Mr Raymond Tandoh, a financial and management consultant says the NDC can make promises in their manifesto feasible.
According to him, all the policies and the programs the party has in the manifesto were sourced from the ordinary people as well as industry players.
He noted that the projection of 1 million jobs for the four year period is possible since it will be collaboration between the private and public sectors.
Mr Tandoh said the decision to reduce corporate tax from 25% to 15% for small and medium scale enterprises will boost the capacity of businesses to employ more.
With the NDC promising to exempt small businesses from corporate and personal income tax, the financial consultant opined that this would ease the burden on them and also expand their capacities to do well in business.
Speaking to this reporter, Mr Tandoh said ‘’all the promises of the NDC are tailor made for the development and progress of the Ghanaian people’’.
BANKING SYSTEM:
He noted that the decision of the NDC to look into the banking clean up that has resulted in many losing their livelihoods would be pursued vigorously.
The promise of the NDC to pay in full the locked up funds to within the first year, Mr Tandoh intimated was laudable than half hearted manner the NPP was dealing with the matter.
This, he noted would help many people who lost businesses to bounce back since the collaterals they used to get loans from banks would be returned to them.
Mr Tandoh, who was a member of the NDC manifesto committee in Ashanti said the 50% reduction of fees for university students is a bold one.
‘’ This promise is to release the burden off parents whose wards would be getting ready for tertiary education’’, the management consultant posited.
OTHER MATTERS:
The financial consultant criticized the Agyapa deal by the NPP government and stated that it would be naked robbery on Ghanaians if it is allowed to pass.
Mr Tandoh wondered how the Finance Minister could claim that a financial transaction was transparent when it is being cooked in a tax haven.
He expressed support to the NDC flag-bearer on his decision not to respect the deal when he wins power in 2020.
Mr Tandoh also applauded moves to extend maternity leave to four months and also noted his delight at the idea of a one week paternity leave for men.
