NDC Media Monitors in the Ashanti region say the are excited about the appointment of Joseph Yammin as Deputy National Coordinator for the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO).
A statement released and signed by Chairman of the Association; Abdul Latif Abdullahi, appreciated the President for remembering Joseph Yammin and also congratulated the former Deputy Ashanti Minister on his new appointment.
“We wish him all the best and assure him of our full support to deliver for mother Ghana”, the statement said.
Joseph Yammin was relieved of his position as Deputy Ashanti regional minister in March, 2015. Although no reason was stated for the sack of both Joseph Yammin and then regional minister Samuel Sarpong, many believed there was some bad blood between the two.
Joseph Yammin is considered a cornerstone of the NDC in the Ashanti region with deep connections to the grassroots of the party. Many believe his appointment is a good thing and a morale booster for the Ashanti regional NDC grassroots especially as the country heads for the polls in November.
