General Secretary for the NDC; Johnson Asiedu Nketia says the NDC will bring out her manifesto and running mate when the party is ready.
Mr. Asiedu Nketia who was speaking to Maame Yaa Konama on Mpu ne mpu on UTV wondered why people were pressing the NDC to announce her running mate and manifesto when no party had even elected a flagbearer aside the NDC nor announced their manifesto.
He said the NDC was still working on their manifesto which he said would be “the Peoples’ manifesto” and said they had completed the basic framework and are set to engage the masses for their inputs.
“We are not late at all, we will announce those when ready” he insisted and added that the party is already meeting with identifiable groups for more inputs.
He said, no one exhibits his weapons ahead of a battle and explained that “surprise is an important strategy in an election”
He also chastised officials of the Electoral Commission on attempts to push through a new voters’ register. He said it was misplaced and unnecessary at this time.
