NDP MEMBERS IN MANHYIA-SOUTH JUMP SHIP…CALL ON SUPPORTERS TO CAMPAIGN AND VOTE FOR AKUFO-ADDO, NAPO.

The Chairman and members of the Manhyia South branch of the National Democratic Party (NDP) have announced their defection to the fold of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

At a press conference early Thursday morning, the group members said they believed in the policies of the NPP and the parliamentary candidate of the NPP in Manhyia South, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh.

Chairman and spokesperson of the group, Benjamin Kofi Boadu Amankwah said upon sober reflection the 300 member group resolved that their interest as a people can best be served with NPP in office.

Currently, the spokesperson said each of the members has had a family member or relative benefitting from the free senior high school education policy introduced by the Nana Addo Dankwa administration of the NPP.

SUPPORT:

The team called on other members who could not turn up for the press conference to campaign at wherever they may be for the NPP flag-bearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuf-Addo.

The spokesperson also asked that each of them campaign and cast their ballots for the Member of Parliament for Manhyia South, Dr Opoku Prempeh who is popularly known as ‘NAPO’.

They stressed their decision to go on a house to house campaign to urge members of the Manhyia community to vote for Nana Addo and Napo as their preferred choice of presidential and parliamentary candidates.

Mr Amankwah said it was imperative on their part to choose to be on the side of persons whose vision can transform the fortunes of the country.

T-SHIRTS:

The group, as if they had been rehearsing, changed from their NDP branded t-shirts into ones bearing the portrait of the President of the republic and that of Dr Mathew Opoku Prempeh, MP for Manhyia South.

They also displayed the ballot placement of the NPP in a fabulous manner indicating the number 1 sign.

Present at the press briefing was Nana Kwaku Duah, Kokoso Chief and a member of the NPP.
