The Ashanti Region office of the New Patriotic Party has described as unguarded and illogical, allegations the party is behind the burning down of critical state institutions.
This follows allegations of arson suspected to have resulted in the fires that ravaged the Central Medical Stores.
Though the president John Dramani Mahama will not rule arson out of the possible causes, the United Cadres Front of the National Democratic Congress is pointing direct accusing fingers at the New Patriotic Party.
Its general secretary who spoke to ultimate fm on Friday indicated it wasn’t any coincidence that some utterances of NPP party stalwarts would precede some fires in the country.
However Ashanti regional secretary of the party, Sam Payne contends such statements lack merit and should not be tolerated.
Meanwhile medical practitioner with the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, Dr Ernest Kwarko is calling for private pharmaceutical giants to intervene to salvage the situation. He believes the over politicization of issues will not help the situation.
