Area Head of the church of Pentecost Sefwi Bekwai Area, Aps Vincent Anane Denteh has urged all and sundry irrespective of political party to avail themselves to be registered if it becomes necessary for Ghana to have a new voters’ register.
Ghana heads for her General Elections in December, 2020. The Electoral Commission, backed by the ruling party and other relatively smaller parties on the need for a new voters’ register whiles the main opposition party, backed by some Civil Society Organizations and few political parties are resisting such compilation of a new register.
Aps Anane Denteh who was speaking with Awuku Addo Okyeame at Bibiani however advises that every Ghanaian supports the move for a new register. He also encouraged Ghanaians to participate fully in the upcoming Population Census.
He advised Ghanaians to be mindful of their utterances to prevent unnecessary tension.
The Church organized a watchnight service to pray for the spiritual and physical welfare of her members and also for the political stability of the country as she approaches another election.
Aps Vincent Anane Denteh used the opportunity to invite other churches to their ”environmental care” campaign which takes off on the first Saturday of every month.
