The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has promised to reward youth of the party with political appointments if the party emerges winner in the December 7 polls.
“Today, nobody is asking for your educational background, religion or tribe…Let me be frank here, I know NPP is going to win and more of you are going to get appointments to serve under Nana Akuffo-Addo, National Youth Organizer, Sammy Awuku assured youth of the NPP in Kumasi.
The opposition party was heavily criticized for not giving the party’s youth opportunities to serve in government during its regime a few years ago. It however appears the new crop of leadership has taken note of this and are determined to rectify it the next time the NPP wins power.
Mr. Awuku said the party has learnt from its mistake and will not relegate the youth of the party when given another opportunity in power and urged them to work harder to ensure victory for the NPP in December, 2016.
“You will not be neglected again if we win power .. When we get the power this time the leaders are going to enjoy but we will also benefit as you form the largest number of our support base”.
Mr. Awuku however, gave a caveat that only competent, dedicated and qualified persons will have the opportunity to get appointments.
