Aspiring Ashanti NDC Chair; Joseph Yammin says the New Patriotic Party(NPP) is only paying back people who helped them win power.
He believes the current government has nothing real to offer Ghanaians and says the NPP are in power because they succeeded in feeding Ghanaians false hope.
Joseph Yammin who has also served in the erstwhile John Mahama administration as Deputy Ashanti regional Minister was speaking to members of the Kumasi Technical University branch of the Tertiary Education Institutions Network (TEIN) of the NDC.
Members of the intellectual wing of the NDC organized a forum to welcome freshmen to campus and into their fold.
Joseph Yammin explained to the TEIN members how the NPP government is doling out cash to folks who helped them in various ways to win the elections.
He says it is hypocritical of the NPP to make a lot of noise about Woyome’s 51 Million Cedis and then turn around to pay 700,000 cedis in legal fees for a “failed” bond or buy an existing app for 2.5 Million dollars.
“Instead of Dr. Bawumia keeping mute after John Mahama’s criticism, he went ahead to expose himself further forgetting that Mahama is a communications expert”, he said.
He says people have regretted voting for the NPP and are calling for John Mahama and the NDC to take over the governance of the country.
“When you go to town, people are disappointed and they are crying. they are calling for John Mahama to come back. Several projects bequeathed to the NPP have come to a standstill. The military hospital is an example among many”.
He encouraged the students to keep faith with the NDC and also support his bid to become regional chairman of the party in the Ashanti region since he has a lot of plans for them.
