Nurses demonstrating
Some nurses and midwives have expressed anger at indiscriminate deductions on their salaries by the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association.
The group calling itself; Unconsented Nurses and Midwives argues that the automatic membership of the GRNMA is unlawful.
They also say being part of the association does not benefit them in any way but only fleeces them of their income through what they term unnecessary deductions.
A front liner of the group; Joseph Arhin tells rawgist.com they are set to demonstrate against the Association over the deductions being made on their salaries as well as their forced membership of the Association.
They want the President; Nana Akufo-Addo and the Ministry of Health to intervene as soon as possible to resolve their grievances.
