Otec FM, a Kumasi based private commercial radio station, has received recognition as one of the top 10 best performing media houses in Ghana.
The award; ‘Pan-African Top Brands Eminence Awards – 2018’ was given by the Confederation of Governance Assessment Institute (COGAI) in partnership with the Economic Monitoring Corporation of Africa (EMCOA) under the auspices of the ministry of Trade and Industry at a colorful event held at the Accra International Conference Center, on Saturday, March 9, 2019.
Otec FM scored high marks for compliance, standard practice, customer relations, achievements, product/service availability, brand/service quality, packaging and relevance.
The award which comprised a trophy and a citation was received by the General Manager of Otec FM, Ebenezer Sarpong Mantey.
A portion of the citation read, “Otec FM has been awarded as results of your demonstrated leadership excellence in the media landscape with the highest conduct of ethical standards, integrity and civic responsibilities”.
General Manager of the station; Ebenezer Sarpong Mantey dedicated the award to the management of Otec FM which he believes has elevated the station to its current state.
He told Bernard Buachi of www.rawgist.com and www.ghanagong.com he will continue to push the boundaries of performance to ensure the station gains recognition the world over.
Otec FM, the first private radio station in Ghana, was established by Mr. Oppong Twumasi, deceased, in 1986 at CPC in Kumasi, before relocating to its present place at Asawasi, near the Manhyia Palace roundabout.
