KNUST authorities will not meet Otumfuo Osei Tutu II as earlier scheduled.
The scheduled meeting between the Chancellor of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, and KNUST authorities as well as students was moments before the set time.
The parties were summoned to the Manhyia Palace for the meeting on Thursday.
The meeting was however, called off at the last minute.
It is unclear what the reason for the cancellation is.
Students of the University destroyed property at the school including glass doors and several cars when what was supposed to be a peaceful demonstration turned violent.
The Chancellor of the KNUST wanted to know the circumstances that led to the violence on Monday.
The University has since remained closed down after the violence.
