OUR COLLECTIVE WELFARE IS MY PRIORITY——MAMA PAT ASSURES ASOKWA RESIDENTS.

Madam Patricia Appiagyei, Member of Parliament (MP) for Asokwa last Sunday finished the first phase of tours to communities in the Municipality.

Being a yearly affair,  the MP uses such visits to traditional authorities as well as the communities to listen to concerns of residents.

The MP also uses such forums to render account of her stewardship as representative of Asokwa in the house of laws.

Communities visited during the two week tour since the Easter Holidays included Dompoase, Gyinyase, Agogo North and South, Atonsu, Ahensan and Nahiniso.

DETAILS:
Many of the issues that came up during the open forum centered around security.

Others also talked about improper lighting system in the communities as well as lack of jobs.

Residents of Nahiniso and Gyinyase appealed to the MP for the intensification of security patrols in their communities.

At Ahensan where most of their roads are being done,  residents commended the MP and asked for more of such engagements.

MP:
Responding to some of the issues raised by residents in the six electoral areas visited,  Madam Appiagyei promised to work on the matters discussed.

She promised to collaborate with the MCE and the Asokwa Municipal Assembly to attend to pressing challenges such as security and job creation.

Madam Apiagyei also called for calm as she tackles some of the issues discussed.

She noted that as the roads in the communities are being reconstructed and reshaped same will happen to other issues they had raised with her.

Accompanying the MP in the first phase of the community tour were the MCE for Asokwa, Chief Akwannuasah Gyimah,  Asokwa NPP Chairman,  Benjamin Fosu Nkromah and Papa Yaw Asare Bediako John, constituency secretary.

Others were Kingsley Nana Gyamfi,  Director of Communications, Georgina Obiri Yeboah, women organiser, Felix Appiah and Frank Bosompim,  constituency treasurer and youth organiser respectively as well as the respective elected Assembly members for the electoral areas visited.
