Pastor Ransford Obeng of the Calvary Charismatic Church says Ghanaians lie and steal a lot; a situation he says is responsible for most of our setbacks as a country.
Pastor Ransford Obeng who was addressing the media at his office in Kumasi stated that ” every successful society is built on truthfulness but the main thing in Ghana is lying and stealing”.
He was sad that even Christians and pastors lie and steal as second nature. “Even Pastors dip their hands in church money. It is our biggest problem”. He says there are many people in Ghana whose lifestyles disagree with their incomes.
“Let us be truthful”, he appealed to Ghanaians.
He advocated that the subject of corruption be taught in basic schools so that children grow up knowing what corruption is and how bad it is. He believes this will tackle the problem of corruption from the formative stages.
