Philanthropist gives to pupils in Atwima Kwanwoma

A native and policy analyst from Atwima Kwanwoma, Nana Owusu Acheampong last Saturday donated mathematical sets and pens to pupils writing the ongoing Basic Education Certificate Examinations (B.E.C.E).

The youthful philanthropist also donated some books and learning aids to three other schools, namely Trede Roman Catholic, Trede District Assembly, and Trede SDA schools, all in the Atwima Kwanwoma community.

Speaking to the Ghanaian Observer Newspaper after the donation exercise, Mr Acheampong expressed delight about the opportunity to give back to the community that nurtured him.

He noted the importance of helping pupils as well as schools with learning aids, adding such things motivate them to give off their best.

‘’I am happy I have the opportunity to give back to the community that gave me education and nurtured me to become a useful person for my society and country’’, Mr Acheampong stressed.

ADMONITION:

The philanthropist advised the BECE candidates to be calm and do their best when their papers are given to them by the exams officials.

He noted all that they had learned in school is what they would be examined on, adding there was nothing to fear about in the exams.

Mr Acheampong urged the pupils to do their best to get good grades so that their entry into senior high school would be smooth.

Having good grades, he mentioned would help them get their choice of schools to attend at SHS level so that they could pursue their favorite courses.

‘’There is nothing like getting your preferred school to attend and I know with the kind of preparation your teachers have given you SHS is only a matter of time’’, the policy analyst stated.

RESPONSES:

Showing much delight, some of the pupils jumped and exclaimed at the sight of the new mathematical sets.

Other pupils openly displayed their mathematical sets and books to the cameras while smiling from ear to ear.

Anthony Gyamera, a JHS three pupil at the Trede SDA-school said he was upbeat about getting good grades in the BECE.

Salomey Dankwa, a final year student from the Trede D/A school expressed her happiness of receiving brand new mathematical set and pens to write the exams, adding that it will spur her to do her best.
