The Police in the Ashanti region have arrested of a number of high profiled armed robbers and murderers in the region including two minors.
The 13 and 16 year olds were both involved in high profile robberies together with a wanted criminal Baba Musah.
Also in the grips of the police is one of the suspects wanted for the Ash Town murder of Kwame Antwi, a security man. Ashanti Regional Police Chief, DCOP Kofi Boakye expressed worry about the trend of minors taking to crime.
He expresses fear that homegrown criminals had taken over the region and called for support from the public to identify criminals and testify during trials for stiffer punishment to deter others from engaging in crime.
