Former Deputy Ashanti Regional Minister; Joseph Yammin has called on the Inspector General of Police and the entire Police hierarchy to address the issue of a child who was kicked in the head by a Police man.
Mr. Yammin who was reacting to a viral video being discussed on Angel FM was very incensed by the act of the Police man.
In the video, a young boy was kneeling down surrounded by people including a few Police personnel. The boy who seemed to be explaining something was suddenly kicked in the head from behind by a police man wearing Police boots. The kick sent the boy straight to the floor.

Joseph Yammin who was very emotional questioned what the boy had done that warranted that kind of treatment. “That kick can affect the boy seriously” he said and went ahead to cite several instances of recent abuses by Police personnel.
“The same Police are talking against instant justice and yet look at what this Police man did right in the midst of other police personnel” he said.
He said although some police personnel are doing great work, it is the behavior of the few bad nuts like the one who kicked the boy that tarnishes the reputation of the entire police service.
He called on the IGP to make a statement and take immediate steps to deal with that Police man and ensure the boy is treated.
