Ghana Religion News-The Head Pastor of the Atasemanso Branch of the Calvary Charismatic Center (CCC), Pastor Samuel Aduama has stressed the importance of prayer indicating it ignites fire in God’s people.
Speaking to the Ghanaian Observer Newspaper today at the start of a five-day prayer program dubbed ’Fresh Fire’ at the church’s site at Atasemanso, the youthful leader rallied Christians to learn to travail in prayer.
The effectiveness of prayer is facilitated by the consistency with which it is deployed, the human development Pastor disclosed.
He therefore called on Christians to be fervent in prayer at all times so that they can fend off the activities of the devil in these perilous times.
‘’Christians should readily seek the face of God in prayer and wait for his fresh fire so they could at all times quench the fiery darts of the evil one’’, Pastor Aduama stressed.
ALERTNESS:
Rather than waiting for calamity to strike before they attend to prayer, Pastor Aduama urged Christians to be proactive in their prayer lives.
He insisted that it is better to pray when all things are going on well so that when hard times come one could fall on the investments he or she has made prayer-wise.
Prayer, the Head Pastor reiterated should be like sweet smelling aroma on believers as it pertained in the lives of the Apostles in the Bible.
The idea that one should pray when he or she is going through tough times alone is not biblical, the CCC Pastor revealed.
‘’The Bible admonishes us to pray without ceasing and I want to even paraphrase it and add that Christians should pray at all times so they can receive fresh fire in their bellies to do exploits for God’’.
INVITATION:
Urging the church to pray at the least opportunity it gets, Pastor Aduama called on Christians who are resident in the Kumasi metropolis to take advantage that has been provided by CCC- Atasemanso to pray.
He stressed the five day duration of prayer which starts today, 29th August and ending on 2nd of Sept has been specially designed to allow people everywhere in Kumasi to travail in prayer for long.
The days, he disclosed will allow patrons to fast, pray and wait on God for his unquenchable fresh fire for the task ahead of them.
‘’I am believing God to empower those who patronize these five days of fasting and prayer and I am fully convinced that we shall move forward in confidence having been baptized by the fresh fire of the Holy Spirit’’, Pastor Aduama passionately noted.
