PRESIDENT AKUFO-ADDO COMMENDS ASABEE FOR SIGA’S SUCCESS STORY.
The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has commended the first Director General for the State Interests and Governance Authority (SIGA), Mr Stephen Asamoah Boateng for carrying out a transformational plan for that outfit.
Addressing a SIGA conference where Chief Executive Officers and Board Chairman of State outfits were gathered, the President said the former CEO had created a synergy at SIGA which was enabling other State agencies to link up seamlessly for knowledge sharing and proper streamlining.
The President said such show of vision by the aspiring National Chairman of the NPP, was progressive and commendable.
He urged the current CEOs and Board Chairman to take a cue from Mr Asamoah Boateng by creating a symmetry that would enable staff and workers function smoothly and efficiently.
“I am happy to know and to commend Mr Stephen Asamoah Boateng for starting this transformational plan at SIGA and I say well done Asabee and I do wish you well in your future endeavours”, the President stated.
REACTION:
Speaking exclusively to the Ghanaian Observer Newspaper, Mr Asamoah Boateng said he was honoured by the President’s public appreciation of his modest work at SIGA.
He noted that for the President who appointed him to show kindness in such a manner meant he did something good at SIGA.
Mr Boateng said it was necessary that those who have taken over at SIGA show same or exceptional zeal and passion to carry on with what he started at the state outfit.
He noted that the continuous synergy between SIGA and all State outfits as well as their CEOs would bode well for the sector since they would be learning from each other better ways of aligning their works for better outputs.
“I am extremely honoured by the President and for him to show appreciation to me who he appointed to steer affairs at SIGA I guess I also need to be thankful to him for enabling me to display at such a high platform the talents President J.A Kufuor saw in me and nurtured”, Mr Boateng stated.
FUTURE:
Mr Asamoah Boateng said the experiences he had garnered in public service was what he was counting on to work with as he aspires to become National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
He said the manner and way public service is administered shapes the mind for one to be a team player.
Mr Boateng noted that the work of a political party Chairman was not something to be used to prosecute personal agendas but a collective goal.
“My make up and upbringing as well as work experience makes me to want to work with people and by deploying my communication skills I believe every work can be done in an efficient manner so that 2024 elections could be won by the NPP as we aspire to prosecute more human centered policies for the people of Ghana”, Asabee passionately stressed.
