President John Dramani Mahama has nominated Mr. Kilian Donkor as Municipal Chief Executive for Kpando.
A statement from the Presidency to that effect stated that “H.E. the President, in accordance with Article 243(1) of the 1992 Constitution and section 20(1) of the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936) (as amended)…has nominated Mr. Killian Donkor for appointment as the Municipal Chief Executive for Kpando, pending approval by the Municipal Assembly.”
An earlier list released left the nomination for Kpando pending, a situation that generated some controversy amongst interested parties.
The nomination of Mr. Killian Donkor has thrown the Kpando Municipality into a state of jubilation.
In an interview with Mr. Killian Donkor, he stressed the need for unity and cooperation for the development of Kpando. He also said he will work with various stakeholders including traditional leadership to ensure the forward march of Kpando.
