Today, we profile PAA YAW ANDERSON, another crucial player of the Kpando Hearts of Lions Football club.
The Kpando Heart of Lions Midfielder aspires to join the National senior team (the BLACK STARS) and any internationally high rated clubs flying the flag of Ghana in soccer within the next 5 to 10 years.
The HoL Midfielder hails from Accra in the Greater Accra region of Ghana and is 21 years of age.
He is the only child of his parents.
Anderson paused his education at ALKI Academy to focus on soccer.
He has played for three other clubs namely ALKI ACADEMY in division two, ACCRA CITY now ATTRAM DE VISSER SPORTING CLUB in division one, BA UNITED in division one before KPANDO HEART OF LIONS which is a premier club with histories and records in the then Premier League and also the Champions of Champions of the 2022/2023 Division One Zone 3.
He joined the Kpando Hearts of Lions in 2022 due to his belief that the club will drive his football career in the right direction. He made it known that HoL is his dream club. He tells rawgist.com he is very happy with the club.
Likes about HoL
Asked what he liked and disliked about the Kpando based club, Anderson says he loves the procedure of initiation or welcome from the players towards him when he first joined the club and of course the passion with which the supporters cheer on the club during home games. He believes the supporters are the driving force towards the club’s successes.
Dislikes about HoL
Regarding his dislikes about Lions he said, “Sincerely, I don’t like the fact that the club trains at Accra and play home matches at Kpando. I wish we were kept in Kpando because that is our home”.
Best moments
He also said his best moment was when HoL gracefully qualified into premier after over 7 years of being relegated. Obviously, Anderson played a great role towards the qualification story but unfortunately hasn’t been active during the last Ghana Premier League season.
He however believes the club will find her feet in the yet to start 2024/2025 Premier League Season after struggling to survive last season’s Premier League to make Kpando and Volta proud again.
He prays to excel in order to rise on to national and international fame.
He wants to be a role model to young footballers hoping to make it in the world of soccer. He believes it is possible hence his determination.
