Race Course and Kejetia traders donate GHC220, 000 towards KATH Renovation Project

Race Course and Kejetia Traders Donate GHC220. 000. Towards KATH Renovation Project.

Two market groups representing traders at Kejetia and the Race Course traders on Thursday presented cash amounts totalling GhC 220, 000 .00 to the Chief Executive Officer at KATH, Professor Otchere Addai-Mensah.

The donation, the two groups noted was to support the renovation of the 50 year old KATH wards and blocks.

At a short presentation ceremony, Madam Yaa Foriwaah, Market Queen at the Kejetia and Central Markets presented GhC 100, 000.00 as her group’s gesture towards the renovation project.

She noted that the amount was raised from contributions from traders and sellers at the market arenas under her control.

Other Group:
Nanahemaa Kyeiwaa, Market Queen at the race course market at Bantama in similar fashion presented a cash amount of Gh120, 000.00 to the CEO.

The money, she also noted was solicited from traders and sellers at the markets under her.

She pledged the groups’ support towards the Heal Komfo Anokye Project, adding that they will help out anytime they are called upon to do so.

“We paid our widows mite during the grand durbar where other individuals and organisations donated money towards the project and we are determined to support KATH every day since this is our own hospital 🏥”, Nana Kyeiwaah stated.

CEO of KATH:
On his part, Professor Addai-Mensah thanked the two market groups for the gesture.

He said he was overwhelmed by the show of support by the women dominated groups.

The CEO urged them to apart from the donations also pray for the success of the ongoing renovation works.

“I thank you very much for this show of support and i will humbly ask that you pray for the success of the project so that together we can share in the joy of doing something good”, Prof Addai-Mensah appealed.
