Private legal practitioner, Yaw Oppong has described former President Jerry John Rawlings as a “consummate politician” whose actions and inaction cannot immediately be understood by ordinary Ghanaians.
“President Rawlings is a consummate actor, political actor if you like…the man will speak [today] and for three weeks or more the people will begin to understand what he meant” Lawyer Oppong said on Joy FM’s Newsfile Saturday .
Former President Rawlings at Cape-Coast last Sunday announced that he would embark on a nationwide tour to restore the values and ideologies of the party he has founded after the December 7 polls.
Many expected the founder of the NDC to deliver a direct endorsement of the party and her Presidential candidate.
Members of the opposition NPP interpret the absence of such direct endorsement by Mr. Rawlings as an indictment on government.
