Residents of Tuobodom were left dejected when a visit by the parliamentary select committee for the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development scheduled for 9am left them waiting till 3pm.
The residents say they had been duly informed of the meeting with leaders and residents of the new District. Many of them enthused to meet these “big men” from parliament left their jobs only to wait for hours on end.
The committee later arrived with the explanation that they had transportation difficulties due to a fault on the bus arranged for the trip.
