Robert Eshun Fun club gives to kids at Perfect Peace Foundation

Members of the Robert Eshun Fun Club, a social organisation last Saturday showed kindness to children at the Perfect Peace Foundation, an orphanage at Sobolo, a suburb in the Kumasi Metropolis.

Presenting food items as well as drinks and toiletries valued at several thousands of cedis to the home, members also played and spent time with the kids.

Speaking to the Ghanaian Observer newspaper after donating the items, Steve Asare, Leader of the Fun Club said they decided to support the home after learning of the challenges they were facing.

The Club, he noted selects a home or orphanage every year to donate items to.

“As part of our objectives as a fun club we select a home or orphanage every year to show kindness to so that we can contribute to sustaining the less privileged people in the society”, Mr Asare posited.

DETAILS:
Mr Asare said the group was formed with the sole idea to keep in memory the life of Robert ESHUN, a former Kotoko player.

As part of the ideals and objectives of the Club, the leader noted supporting the needy in the society is pivotal in its scheme of things.

Meeting every two weeks on Sundays at Golden gate hotel in Kumasi, Mr Asare said the group deliberates on a lot of issues as well as carry out projections and plans for its quarterly programs.

He however appealed to individuals as well as corporate and government organisations to support the needy or partner the club to extend support to the less privileged in the society.

CEO:
Receiving the items on behalf of the Children at the home, Auntie Mary Mansa, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Perfect Peace Foundation expressed appreciation to the Fun Club for the gesture.

She asked other benevolent organisations to replicate the gesture by the Fun Club and help to put smiles on the faces of the over 100 children at the orphanage.

ADMINISTRATOR:
Recounting some challenges, Reverend Kofi Mensa, Administrator of the Home said feeding, clothing and funds for medical attention has been a worry to management.

The Home he revealed currently depends on the resourcefulness of its CEO and other kindhearted personalities to keep it functioning, adding the donation by  the Robert Eshun Fun Club is timely.
