Political scientist at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Dr.Samuel Adu Gyamfi has questioned the NPP’s quest for power in the 2016 general polls.
According to him, the New Patriotic Party is so liberal resulting in pride among members; a situation he says is disgraceful to the party.
Speaking on Royal Fm’s Morning Show, he noted ‘‘the NPP is disgracing itself. A party which serves as a check on the incumbent government is now fighting against itself’’.
‘‘What kind of leadership are you going to give Ghanaians?’’ he questioned.
Dr. Samuel Adu Gyamfi noted that there is nothing wrong for the chairman of the party Paul Afoko and Kwabena Agyapong to align themselves to the constitution of the party.
When asked his opinion on the NPP’s plans to suspend the party’s general secretary as well, he noted that the party should not delay if it has such plans at heart since it will be a disaster for the party to take such decision next year.
