SACK OUR DCE—-ASUNAFO SOUTH YOUTH GROUP APPEALS TO PREZ AKUFO-ADDO.
Embattled DCE for Asunafo South, Osei Bonsu Snr
A youth group in the Ahafo Region by name, Angry Grassroot Supporters of NPP is appealing to the Ahafo Regional New Patriotic Party as well as the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo- Addo to sack the District Chief Executive (DCE), Osei Bonsu Snr.
The group in a statement signed by its chairman and spokesperson, Kwadwo Simon stated that “our District Chief Executive (DCE) is a signpost of disgrace to the NPP party in Asunafo South since he resumed office and he redeemed it during the 2020 Presidential and parliamentary elections campaign”.
They added that the District Chief Executive (DCE) Hon. Osei Bonsu Snr. undermined and campaigned against the party’s parliamentary candidate Ing. Kobby Mensah Amoah.
“Our District Chief Executive (DCE) must be thrown out of office because he worked against the parliamentary candidate and he has no business to represent the party in the district”, the group stated in the release.
ACCUSATIONS
They also accused him of pocketing campaign funds for his selfish interest at the time the party needed such funds to work to win the parliamentary seat.
The NPP MP aspirant Ing. Kobby Mensah Amoah, the group noted has referred the case to the Regional and National leadership of the party.
They accuse the DCE for doing nothing tangible in his four years at the office but has enriched himself at the expense of masses in the District.
The group alleged that before he was appointed Asunafo South District Chief Executive (DCE), he was living in one bedroom at his family house but currently, he has built two ultramodern story buildings, one at Kukuom and one in Kumasi within four years.
His administrative performance, they further claim was abysmal leading the NPP into the gutters in Asunafo South in the 2020 elections.
In conclusion the group stressed its belief in the Regional executives led by chairman Kwabena Owusu Sekyere and the President to listen to them by changing the DCE for the growth of the NPP and the people in Asunafo
