Emmanuel Narh, a 37-year-old man who could not control his sexual desire for a minor, is in trouble with the law.
He has appeared before the Odumase Krobo Circuit Court charged with defilement.
The court, presided over by Mr Asmah Akwasi Asiedu, has remanded him into prison custody to re-appear at a later date.
The Prosecutor, Inspector Margaret Arthur of the Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit (DOVVSU), told the court that the victim is a 14-year-old junior high school student who is staying with her paternal aunt and her husband, the accused person.
The prosecutor said on April 16, 2014 at about 12.30 p.m., the victim’s aunt went to the Agomanya Market near Odumase Krobo and left the victim and her two-year-old son at home.
According to the prosecutor, while the victim and the little boy were in their room, the accused person entered the room, grabbed her, put her on the bed and forcibly had sex with her.
After the act, he strongly warned her not to tell anyone else she would go mad.
However, the victim, who could not bear the pains and the psychological trauma, informed her aunt on her return from the market.
The prosecutor said the victim’s aunt also informed her (aunt’s) father who in turn reported the case to the police.
A medical report was issued to the victim to go to the Akuse Government Hospital for examination and treatment.
Following the incident, the accused person went into hiding but later reported himself to the police on May 22, 2014.
In his caution statement, the accused admitted to the offence saying,” I was tempted by her succulent breasts.”
