Repeated cases of smearing classrooms with human excreta otherwise known as ‘shit-bombing’, has become huge source of worry for school authorities in Nyarkokwa primary and Junior High School and primary at the Awutu Senya West in the Central region.
Nyarkokwa primary and JHS, the only school serving 12 villages in the area has been turned into a public toilet due to lack of a toilet facility in the town.
According to the Safohene of the town, the unfortunate situation has affected teaching and learning in the school.
In an interview with Adom News, the chief noted that pupils and teachers have to use lesson hours to clean human excreta in the morning before accessing the classroom.
The Safohene revealed that school pupils have develop an interest in hunting rather than going to school due to the excessive ‘shit bombing’ in the school.
He revealed that they are left with no other option than to close down the school because most of the teachers have left the town.
The Chief fears the children might engage in acts that may cause bush fires while hunting, therefore calling on government to intervene.
The Safohene vowed to lead his people to vote against President John Mahama if he does not intervene quickly.
