Sinopec International Petroleum Service Corporation has awarded a full scholarship to one of its Ghanaian staff to pursue a master’s degree programme at the China University of Petroleum, Beijing.
Mr Kobina Agyei Amoakoh would be pursuing a two-year course in management science and engineering.
Mrs Shen Yan, the Deputy Project Coordinator at Sinopec Ghana, commended Mr Amoakoh for being awarded with the scholarship which is based on merit.
She said after joining Sinopec in 2012, Mr Amoakoh had shown much commitment and dedication to his work and it was not surprising he was awarded the scholarship.
“He is very hardworking, devoted to the job, committed to deliver with satisfactory outcome and even though it is difficult for one to get the scholarship, his outstanding performance made him to get it,” she said.
She expressed the hope that, Mr Amoakoh would cherish the opportunity given him and continue to work hard especially as he would be representing the image of the company at the university.
Mrs Shen Sinopec was committed to developing the human resource base of its local staff and the scholarship to Mr Amoakoh was a clear testimony.
Mr Amoakoh commended Sinopec International Petroleum Service Corporation for the opportunity and promised to study hard.
