Former minister of Youth and Sports and now minister of state at the presidency, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah continues in his bid to clear his name with the Ghanaian public after allegations he embezzled funds during the 2014 world cup in Brazil.
Elvis Afriyie Ankrah who was speaking at a TEIN programme at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology says he is not corrupt. “We accounted for everything captured in our budget”, he said.
He was speaking on the theme “Operation 1million votes; the role of the female student”.
Elvis Afriyie Ankrah stated that the Mahama- led administration is the only government that has the courage to reveal corrupt practices among his own people.
According to him, the ability to reveal corruption within the National Service Secretariat (NSS), GYEEDA and other areas emphasize the government’s will to fighting corruption.
