Many Ghanaian farmers have inadequate or no knowledge on the use of agro chemicals. For this reason, farmers consistently misapply and misuse agro chemicals to the detriment of the health of consumers as well as the environment.
In order to reverse this dangerous trend, Chemico Ghana Limited together with France based Hozelock SL held a three-day workshop for farmers and dealers in Spraying Machines and agro chemicals in the Ashanti region.
Mr Kwaku Gyamfi, the Area Manager for Chemico Limited explained that the workshop is very timely and relevant and will impact the health of the nation greatly.
He revealed that the training is an annual event but added that this year’s event was scheduled to coincide with the unveiling of their new product.
He hoped that the lessons being administered to participants of the workshop will be heeded and applied for the benefit of all Ghanaians.
