Pastor Joshua Obeng, an associate pastor at the Calvary Charismatic Center (CCC) has admonished Christians to support the incoming government to implement the policies it has promised the populace.
This, he stressed was important since the success of this government would ultimately rob off every citizen and help to make life more bearable for the ordinary people.
Speaking to the church’s congregation at Ayigya, a suburb of the Kumasi Metropolis last Sunday, Pastor Obeng intimated the need for Christians to pray for their leaders.
According to him, not only does the bible command us to do same but it was needful that everyone supported the government to put into practice the programs it has intended to roll out.
PROPHECY:
Pastor Obeng intimated an earlier prophecy he had given during a recent spiritual empowerment program that there would be ten years of God’s blessings on the country.
This, he noted will include the abundance of food throughout the years, adding the country would have such in excess so as to provide aid to some other countries in the sub-region.
‘’Let’s support this new government to succeed because God has assured us an abundance of food and his other blessings on the country for the next ten years’’, Pastor Obeng prophesied.
He noted, ‘as Christians we are not to behave like unbelievers where we wish our opponents doom just because our party is not in power’.
EXAMPLE:
Tasking the congregation, the preacher asked that Christians lived exemplary lives so as to mirror the change Christ wants the world to see.
‘’Let us not walk as unbelievers but show them the way Christ want us to live our lives so that they can adequately see the need to come to the Church’’ , Pastor Obeng admonished.
He asked Christians to be generous so as to make the Christian life attractive and practicable to the world.
Pastor Obeng asked that Christians go beyond human reasoning to apply faith in all that they do since the Christian life is directly opposite how unbelievers live theirs.
