MTN Ghana Foundation Executive Director Mrs Cynthia Lumor has entreated young people to work hard to empower themselves to be good leaders in order to champion national development.
Speaking at the Springboard Road Show organized in collaboration with MTN at the CCC Auditorium-Kumasi , Mrs. Lumor emphasized the similarities in the goals of both MTN and Springboard. She revealed that both entities are set to celebrate their tenth anniversaries.
“Both MTN and Springboard seek to empower people to be good leaders to help grow Ghana.” She added that MTN decided to support Springboard because it is one of the ways to give back to the youth to empower them, to teach, give back to the youth and to impart to the youth the experiences the speakers have had to help them become good leaders of tomorrow.
Mrs. Cynthia Lumor advised young people to work hard, learn more about their craft and also take advantage of opportunities around them, making good use of technology.
She wants young people to develop the ” Can do spirit” to enable them achieve their goals in life.
She stressed that aside, partnership with Springboard, MTN uses the MTN apps challenge as a way of identifying and developing the potentials of young people. She further added that the network provides a lot of opportunities which young people can capitalize on to develop themselves.
