Ghana News–The General Overseer of the Gospel Light International Church, Bishop Matthew Addae-Mensah has urged Christians to take charge of their lives by applying the principles and promises of Christ.
According to the experienced servant of God, every written word or promise in the Bible is for the believer and those who display faith can have access to these promises.
Speaking to congregants at the Calvary Charismatic Center (CCC) in Kumasi at a five day spiritual empowerment program, the stubborn faith preacher charged Christians to walk the faith they profess in Christ.
He noted breakthroughs and uncommon miracles happen when believers are able to assert their authority in prayer.
‘’The promises of God in the Bible are for us and others who come to trust in Christ but the only way we can have access to the promises is by applying faith through prayer’’, the Gospel preacher intimated.
LEVELS OF FAITH:
Teaching on the levels of faith, Bishop Addae-Mensah said many Christians after confessing Jesus as their Lord recoil into a symptom of no faith.
This, he noted is where they doubt the very prayers they offer to God, adding no one receives from God if he or she entertains doubt in prayer.
Some Christians, he explained also display some miniature type of faith in God and these people possess the little faith symptom.
He, however, noted that those who possess miniature type of faith can have it expanded by asking the Lord to increase it for them just as the disciples asked the LORD to increase their faith.
‘’God has given every one of us a level or measure of faith and no matter the level you are God can increase the level for you if you display faith in all that you do’’, the passionate faith builder posited.
GREAT FAITH:
Throwing more light on faith, Bishop Addae-Mensah said Christians can cultivate and grow their faith to the levels of great faith.
This type of faith, he noted was demonstrated by a centurion in the Bible who rather than having Jesus visit his home asked that Jesus speak the word of healing at where he was standing to cause the healing of his servant.
According to the visiting preacher, every Christian can have great faith when they display total belief in the word of God and his promises.
He advised that Christians consciously practice seed sowing anytime they are in need of supernatural break-through.
‘’Seed sowing activates the promises of God and anytime you want God to move mightily in your life you must sow into that breakthrough’’, Bishop Addae-Mensah stressed.
