Take customer service seriously to generate traffic-MTN Exec tells Mobile Money Merchants

Data and Channel Manager for MTN Northern Business District has stressed the importance of excellent customer care to MTN Mobile Money operators in the Ashanti region.

Mr. Steven Asare who was addressing the Mobile Money merchants at a forum held for them as part of MTN’s Mobile Money month celebration in Kumasi advised the merchants to stop complaining about their concentration in particular spots and rather draw clients through excellent customer service.

He explained that even in crowded business locations, some traders receive lots of customers while others sitting close by are left out due to poor handling of customers.

The merchants took advantage to put their requests before the executives of MTN and also ask questions bordering on their business.

Some of the merchants rawgist.com spoke to indicated their joy at such forums and complained that other telcos did not hold such forums to engage them. They were grateful for the opportunities created by MTN for the youth to do honest business.
