Tension is brewing within members of the Eureka Garages Association in Techiman.
Members of the Association are accusing their Executives of unbridled corruption. They say there have been no elections to elect new Executives for the last thirteen years.
Kusi Appiah, a member of the Association told Techiman based Winners FM the Executives have blocked all possibilities of an election citing the constitution.
“According to our executives, only members who pay their dues, are regular at meetings and are based on the site allotted the Association can contest elections; a thing that makes many potential leaders ineligible.”
The members also accuse the leadership of usurping the 120 acre land given the Association by the chiefs for their personal ends and add that no accounts are rendered to enable members know the financial stand of the Association.
Executives of the Association led by the Chairman, John Kumah however debunked the allegations in another interview by Winners FM’s Kofi Doe Lawson.
He insists the Executives have rendered accounts as required of them by their constitution.
Meanwhile, members of the Association are agitated and insist they will stop at nothing to ensure sanity within the Association.
