Members of the National Democratic Congress in Techiman say they are prepared to demonstrate to get their political leaders there to unite towards the development of the town.
Information obtained by rawgist.com is that there is some friction between the two parliamentarians there on one hand and the Municipal Chief Executive on the other.
Alex Kyeremeh is member of parliament for Techiman North constituency whilst Adjei Mensah is MP for Techiman South.
Some big shots in the party are unhappy with the way the MCE; Philip Oppong Amponsah runs his show. Some of those rawgist.com spoke to are of the view that the MCE is in bed with the main opposition and is
collaborating with them on several fronts; a situation that makes them uncomfortable.
It is generally feared that the lack of cooperation between these government functionaries is costing
the town a lot of development.
Kojo Adjei, a member of the NDC and leader of those threatening to demonstrate believes the
misunderstanding if allowed to fester will cost the party the next elections.
To this end, the demonstrators have given the national executive of the NDC the space of a month to
resolve the situation. They plan to embark on a demonstration if the one month deadline elapses without a solution.
