Tension is brewing at Kejetia in the Ashanti region as the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) has blocked all entrances to the Kejetia bus terminal, denying access to commercial vehicles.
According to Starr News’ Isaac Bediako Justice, police and military officials have been stationed at the entrance of the terminal to ensure that drivers comply with the order to stay away.
The situation has left several passengers stranded.
The blocked entrances include, the Zoo traffic light, Pampanso and the Barclays bank area.
The move is to make way for a planned demolition exercise aimed at preparing the grounds for the reconstruction of the Kumasi Central market.
