The entire WAEC board should be dissolved- heads of institutions

Some supervisors and heads of institutions in the Ashanti region are calling on officials of the West Africa Examination Council, WAEC to be held accountable for the 5 leaked papers that were cancelled in this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination, BECE.
According to them, the West Africa Examination Council, WAEC should be dissolved entirely to set up a new one to avoid such recurrent circumstances.
A supervisor of a center at the KNUST JHS and a headmaster of the KNUST nursery school, Mr. de-Graft Etsison in an interview with Focus news says cancellation of the papers to ensure fairness was a good option meanwhile, it’s psychological effects on the students and the financial effects on parents were negative.

He however suggested that, the officials of WAEC should honourably resign.

Some teachers have also threatened to mobilize the candidates to boycott the rest of the papers.
