Ghana News-Scores of residents including the elderly within the Mim community in the Brong-Ahafo Region last Friday took part in a medical screening exercise organized by the Fosuaa Foundation at the Methodist Park.
The exercise formed part of efforts by the Foundation to ensure residents within the Asunafo area are in good health.
Led by medical officers from the Asunafo Municipal Hospital, doctors tested the over 500 people for diabetes, High Blood Pressure and other ailments.
Many of the youth, however, took greater interest in testing for malaria and sugar knowing very it is vital nowadays.

Speaking to this reporter after the screening exercise, Madam Ama Fosuaa, CEO of the Fosuaa Foundation and Women Organizer of the Asunafo North NPP expressed delight at the turn out of the residents.
She noted the desire to replicate similar health events in the constituency so as to ensure members of the society are healthy at all times.
Madam Fosuaa advised the public to undertake regular medical check-ups, adding that will help them know their health status at regular intervals.
She commended the Rebecca Foundation, the MCE, Yaw Osei Boahen as well as the NPP executives especially the constituency chairman and youth organizer for supporting her efforts.
‘’It was exciting leading this medical screening exercise in this community of ours because I believe the best thing to give to the society is to ensure they are healthy at all times.
RESIDENTS:
Expressing happiness at the opportunity to test for their health, the patrons commended the NGO for thinking about them.
Robert Bediako, a middle-aged man from Mim said he scarcely visits the hospital to check up on his health.
This he said is due to the nature of his job but advised employers to make room for such screenings for their employees.
Madam Adwoa Amponsa, an elderly woman commended the Fosuaa Foundation for helping the aged to test for their statuses.
