The Meat Factory Tuesday donated assorted items to the Ashanti School of the deaf and the Mampong Babies’ Home as part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility.
The items donated include assorted meat from the Meat Factory, bags of rice, gallons of oil, Cartons of milk, sugar, diapers, boxes of mackerel, first aid medication, and detergents among others amounting to thousands of cedis.
The Meat Factory also organized a free health screening for babies and staff of the Mampong Babies’ Home.
Presenting the items, the Chief Executive Officer of the Meat Factory; Dr. Fred Bedzrah explained that the exercise was in line of the company’s values of caring for the underprivileged in society.
He assured that the company is committed to environmental sustainability and would continue to support the public in areas where their services are needed most.
Dr Bedzrah also emphasized that the Meat Factory is bent on solving the high protein deficit in the Ashanti region and eventually the whole country by providing quality meat and meat products at affordable prices.
He announced that the Meat Factory is set to expand her operations with the addition of over 15 outlets in the Ashanti Region.
The Assistant Headmistress in charge of Academics at the Ashanti School for the Deaf Mrs Margaret Apenteng and the Head of the Mampong Babies’ Home; Rev. Mrs. Hannah Nyamekye were full of gratitude upon receiving the items from the Meat Factory.
Mrs. Margaret Apenteng revealed that as school reopens, the items will save them from borrowing to feed the students as they are accustomed to doing.
