Some within the New Patriotic Party as well as the labour unions in Ghana seem to have divided lawyers in Ghana along party lines.
Kwesi Kyei, an NPP communicator in the Ashanti region says “there are no good lawyers in the governing NDC”. He says the leadership of the various Labour Unions have chosen to seek legal counsel from Nana Akuffo-Addo’s chamber since that is where better lawyers abound.
Kwesi Kyei who was speaking on Kumasi based Nhyira FM insisted that ” lawyers in NPP are far better than their colleagues in the NDC”.
Akoto Ampaw, Kofi Bentil and Godfred Dame from the NPP’s flag bearer’s chamber are representing CLOGSAG in the case of their 2nd Tier pension fund management brought against them by government.
Kwasi Kyei on Kumasi based Nyhira FM’s “Kro Yi Mu Nsem” also discounted the allegation that workers’ union strikes are instigated by NPP.
Many especially those in the NDC believe the numerous worker agitations in the country are masterminded by NPP leaders.
