The President-elect, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has unequivocally assured the people of Ghana, particularly Asanteman his desire to fulfill all promises made during the just ended campaign season which resulted in his massive victory.
According to him, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) took Ghanaians serious and every single promise it made was done out of a strong conviction and a solid will to fulfilling them after it had won power.
Addressing the Asanteman Council and the people of Asanteman during a courtesy call on the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at the Manhyia Palace, Nana Addo stressed his commitment to fulfilling each of the promises made to the people of Ghana.
” I am committed to fulfilling each of the promises I made to the people of Ghana while I was campaigning and I know with the support of my party and team we can help build a better society”, the president-elect posited.
APPRECIATION:
Extolling the Asantehene, Nana Addo recalled the wise counsel the Asanteman Overlord had continually given him in his political walk.
These pieces of advice, he acknowledged had stood him in good stead as he had overcome several challenges in life by adhering strictly to them.
He, therefore, profusely commended the Asantehene as well as the Asanteman Council for standing by him throughout his political life and particularly the recent campaign period.
He pledged his willingness to ensure the partnership between himself, the NPP and that of Asanteman is continually deepened for the benefit of the people in the Region.

Responding to the reassuring words by the president-elect, Baffuo Kantankrankyi, one of the chief linguists of Otumfuo thanked Nana Addo for taking time to visit the Asantehene who is still mourning the passing away of her mother and Queen-mother of Asanteman, Afia Kobi Serwaa Ampem .
He wished Nana Addo well and assured him of the Council’s prayers so as to help him build a prosperous future for the people of Asanteman.
Earlier on in the day, Mr Sampson Kwaku Boafo, former chieftaincy minister who spoke on behalf of the NPP team assured the council of the president-elect’s desire to participate fully in the final funeral rites of the late Queen-mother of Asante, stressing that the party would also play its rightful role during the funeral.
