The Police in Ejura has arrested two individuals suspected to be among the robbery gang that shot and killed a Bimbila based lance corporal.
Superintendent Appiah, the District Police Commander confirmed the arrest to rawgist.com’s Dabre Abdul Rauf saying “We have some information and we picked up some people but we are still investigating that.”
Alexander Kyeremeh was shot at close on Friday afternoon during a robbery attack at Kasie near Ejura.
The lance corporal had picked some of the money the gang had collected and hid it in his underwear; an action that caused one of the gang members who was hiding in the bushes to come out and shoot him instantly.
Despite the Police’s rapid response, the robbers managed to flee the scene before their arrival.
The remains of the deceased Policeman was sent to the Asante Mampong Hospital Morgue
